Creating values
Values in ClarityLoop represent the core principles that guide team behavior and decision-making. Once defined, values become part of everyday workflows, appearing in feedback, insights, announcements, and recognition of value champions.
Who can create values?
- Workspace owners can create, edit, and publish values.
- Available on all plans, but advanced insights related to values require the Professional Plan.
Steps to create values

Open the value system:
- Navigate to Value System from the sidebar.
- Click New system and give it a descriptive name.

Define the values:
- Name: A concise, clear name that reflects the core principle. (e.g., "Collaboration")
- Description: Explain what the value means and why it matters. (e.g., "We work together across teams to achieve better outcomes.")
- Behaviors: Identify the behaviors that demonstrate this value. (e.g., "Proactively share knowledge across departments.")
- Relevant resources: Add links or documents that help illustrate or support the value. (e.g., an internal wiki on collaboration practices)

- Click Publish to publish the value system.
How values are used across ClarityLoop
Once published, values become available across the platform:
- Feedback: Users can tag feedback with a value when recognizing behaviors aligned with company principles.
- Insights: Feedback insights highlight how individuals demonstrate values over time.
- Announcements: Announcements can celebrate individuals who embody key values.
- Value champions: Insights help identify team members who consistently reflect core values.
- Org wide: Everyone has visibility to company values in Org section.
Best practices for defining values
- Be specific: Focus on behaviors that can be observed and recognized.
- Keep it relatable: Use language that resonates with the team.
- Link to growth: Align behaviors with career pathways where relevant.
