Publish company values

Publishing is the moment your value system becomes active across the workspace. It is not just a content step. It is what makes the set available for everyday use in feedback, highlights, and value-based insights.

Who this is for

This page is for workspace owners who have drafted a value system and are ready to make it the active company set.

What publishing does

When you publish a value system:

  • it becomes the active company value system
  • members can view the published values in the org area
  • published values become available when people tag feedback or highlights
  • value-based insights can start building from tagged usage over time

If you publish a different value system later, that newer one becomes the active set. ClarityLoop supports multiple systems in draft or history, but only one published system at a time.

What to review before publishing

Publishing works best when the values are ready to be used consistently, not just announced.

Check that:

  • each value has language people will understand quickly
  • the behaviours are specific enough to guide feedback and recognition
  • overlapping values have been cleaned up so people are not guessing between near-duplicates
  • any helpful supporting resources are attached

If managers would struggle to tag a real example with confidence, the set probably needs another pass before publish.

When to publish

Publish when you are ready for the values to become part of daily language. A good sign is that leaders can already imagine using the values in feedback, 1:1s, and recognition without extra explanation.

If the set is still being debated heavily, keep it in draft. Publishing too early usually creates noise rather than alignment.

After publishing

Once the values are live, the important work shifts from editing to adoption:

  • encourage managers to use values when giving precise praise
  • use value-linked highlights to reinforce examples publicly
  • review value-based insights later to see which values are actually showing up in tagged feedback

Publishing makes the system available. Consistent usage is what makes it valuable.

FAQs

Can we edit a published value system?

Yes. You can update names, descriptions, behaviours, and resources after publishing.

Can we publish a different value system later?

Yes. Publishing another system replaces the previously published one as the active set.

What happens if we unpublish the active system?

You remove the active published set. That is usually only useful if you intentionally want to pause value-based usage while you prepare a replacement.
