Create and manage surveys
Surveys in ClarityLoop are built for an engagement loop, not a one-time form. You can design quickly, launch with the right privacy controls, and keep runs moving without rebuilding from scratch.
Surveys how-to
Watch this first to understand the survey flow from creation and settings through launch and live run management.
Start in Surveys
In Surveys, you typically use two views:
- Incoming for surveys you need to respond to
- Manage / Results for surveys you own or can analyze
If you are creating or running survey programs, work mostly from Manage / Results.
Create a survey

Choose Create Survey and pick the start style that matches your situation:
- Use a Template when you want a proven baseline quickly
- Use AI Assist when you know the goal and want a fast first draft
- Build from Scratch when you already know the exact question set
All three paths open the same editor, so you can still adjust everything after the initial draft.
Build a survey people will complete
In the editor, you can add sections, add questions inside or outside sections, drag to reorder, and clone items. You can also tag questions with topics so insights are easier to review later. If you are deciding between many questions and fewer stronger ones, fewer usually wins for completion quality.

Supported question types:
- Single Choice
- Multiple Choice
- Agreement Scale (Likert)
- Star Rating
- eNPS (Recommendation Score)
- Yes/No
- Open Text
- Info Block

For each question, the important quality choices are:
- Required or optional
- Allow comments for extra context (where supported)
This is usually the best pattern: structured signal for trend tracking, plus comments for real context. If wording needs cleanup, use Refine in the question editor to improve clarity before launch.
Configure settings before launch
Open Survey Settings to control:
- schedule and trigger behavior
- response window and optional pulse limit
- audience and anonymity mode
- additional owners, leader visibility, and minimum response thresholds
For full configuration details, see Survey settings.

Publish and unpublish
A survey can be published when:
- audience is selected
- at least one non-info question exists
Publishing starts sends based on your trigger/schedule. Unpublishing stops future sends, but people who already received the survey can still respond until their response window closes.

Manage live runs without rebuilding
If a run is already live, open Run Overview from the survey menu. This is the right place to adjust delivery operations while keeping your survey design intact.
You can:
- add recipients if someone was missed
- extend the response window
- close the run early when you are ready to finalize
