Offboarding

The HR+ Offboarding workspace guides every employee exit through staged checklists, task ownership, and documentation so nothing falls through the cracks.

Workspace overview

  • Offboarding Dashboard – Snapshot of active programs, upcoming end dates, and outstanding work.
  • Exit Process – Pipeline view of employees moving through each offboarding stage, including notice-period tracking and task status.
  • Resignation Letters – Optional inbox for employee resignation requests when the feature is enabled.

Set up offboarding programs

  1. Create an offboarding program (e.g. “Standard Exit” or “Internship End”). HR+ seeds it with default stages such as Exit Interview, Work Handover, FnF Settlement, and Archived.
  2. Add additional stages or rename the defaults to match your process.
  3. Assign managers at the program, stage, and task levels so responsibilities are always clear.

Manage departures

  • Add an employee to the exit process to capture their notice start/end dates and the stage they begin in.
  • Move people between stages as they complete requirements; the pipeline updates automatically.
  • Record exit reasons and notes so future analyses have full context.

Track tasks and documentation

  • Build task checklists inside each stage (e.g. “Collect access badge”, “Disable accounts”).
  • Monitor status (Todo, In progress, Stuck, Completed) from the pipeline and follow up with assignees directly.
  • Store supporting documents and handover files against the employee’s offboarding record for easy auditing.

Resignation requests (optional)

If resignation requests are enabled, employees can submit their intended last day for approval. Approved requests automatically create the offboarding record using your default notice-period settings.

Tips for a smooth exit

  • Review the dashboard weekly to catch stalled tasks before the employee’s final day.
  • Keep at least one archive stage so you can close out completed exits without losing history.
  • Coordinate with your ClarityLoop workspace owner to deactivate the member once the final stage is complete.

With templated stages, task ownership, and documentation in one place, HR+ offboarding makes every exit orderly and transparent.
