Account and notifications

Your account settings are personal. Use them to control how you appear in ClarityLoop and how ClarityLoop reaches you. Shared workspace setup belongs in the workspace area.

What you control here

Your account settings are split into two parts:

  • Account is where you update your name and profile photo.
  • Notifications is where you choose whether different updates reach you by email, Slack, or both.

Your email address and authentication provider are shown here as reference fields. They help you see which account you are using, but they are not edited from this page.

Use notifications in the channel where you are most likely to act

Each notification type can be turned on for email, Slack, or both.

  • Slack is useful for prompts you want to notice during the workday.
  • Email is useful when you prefer to triage updates a little later or keep a clearer record of them.

You do not need to treat every category the same way. Many people keep time-sensitive prompts in Slack and leave broader summaries in email.

What each notification type covers

Notification preferences are grouped by workflow, including:

  • Highlights: public recognition and other company or workspace highlights
  • Meetings & Actions: meeting invites, schedule changes, reminders, and action-item updates
  • Feedback: requests for feedback and feedback shared with you
  • Goals: changes to goals, key results, or growth areas that you own or follow
  • Surveys: surveys that need your response
  • Reviews: review cycles that start, need your input, or require follow-up
  • Weekly summary: a broader recap of recent activity and things worth your attention

The goal is not to turn everything on. The best setup is the one that helps you notice the right things without making ClarityLoop easy to ignore.

Keep account settings and workspace settings separate

Two things often get mixed together:

  • Workspace administration such as members, integrations, and shared settings belongs in Workspaces.
  • Calendar linking is personal to you, but you connect it from Workspace Settings > Integrations, not from your account page.
