Forecast integration

Forecast is useful when project and delivery context should stay connected to people conversations. In ClarityLoop, Forecast can bring projects, tasks, phases, and time activity into feedback, goals, and 1:1s.

What Forecast helps with

Use Forecast when you want ClarityLoop to reflect:

  • project context behind delivery work
  • tasks or phases worth discussing in feedback or 1:1s
  • Forecast-linked work that should support a goal or key result

Who sets it up

Workspace owners connect Forecast for the workspace.

What you need before connecting

  • a Forecast API token
  • the correct Forecast API base URL

For most teams, the default API base URL is https://api.forecast.it.

How to connect Forecast

  1. Open Workspace Settings > Integrations.
  2. Find Forecast.
  3. Choose Connect Forecast.
  4. Paste the API token.
  5. Confirm or update the API base URL.
  6. Save the connection.

During setup, ClarityLoop creates the webhook subscriptions it needs automatically.

How people use it

Once connected, supported Forecast links can be used as context in ClarityLoop.

That is most useful when the Forecast item helps explain:

  • what work someone actually carried
  • why a project milestone mattered
  • what delivery evidence should inform a goal, 1:1, or feedback note

Forecast context can also matter when a key result is measured against Forecast-linked work.

How ClarityLoop uses Forecast data

  • Automatic context: supported Forecast flows can bring project, task, phase, and related delivery context into ClarityLoop so work conversations stay grounded in what was actually carried.
  • Manual linking: people can also attach a Forecast item directly when it is the right example for feedback, a 1:1 discussion, a request, or a goal.

Use it well

  • use the correct API base URL if you are not on the default Forecast environment
  • treat the connection as a workspace-level system integration, not a personal shortcut
  • use Forecast links selectively, where they improve judgement and context
