Slack integration

Connect Slack when you want feedback, surveys, and recognition to happen closer to where people already work.

What Slack helps with

Use Slack when you want to:

  • capture feedback from the flow of conversation
  • request feedback without pulling people into the app first
  • let people respond to surveys from Slack when available
  • make highlights and public recognition more visible through a dedicated channel

Workspace owners install Slack once for the workspace. Members do not connect it individually.

How to connect Slack

  1. Open Workspace Settings > Integrations.
  2. Find Slack.
  3. Choose Add to Slack.
  4. Complete the Slack authorization flow.

After install, add the ClarityLoop app to the Slack channels where you want to use it, especially private channels.

How people use it

Once Slack is connected, members can use ClarityLoop in Slack for:

  • feedback actions
  • feedback requests
  • survey response flows that are sent into Slack

Keep Slack and ClarityLoop email addresses aligned where possible so people can be matched cleanly.

Optional: configure a highlights channel

Workspace owners can also set a dedicated Slack channel for highlights. When this is configured, new highlights, including public feedback shared as highlights, can be posted there automatically.

To configure it:

  1. Open the Slack integration settings in ClarityLoop.
  2. Copy the Slack channel ID from the target channel.
  3. Paste the channel ID into ClarityLoop and save.
  4. Make sure the ClarityLoop app is added to that channel.

Use a highlights channel when you want recognition to show up in a shared team space, not only in ClarityLoop.

Set it up well

  • add ClarityLoop to any private channel where people expect to use it
  • keep user emails aligned across Slack and ClarityLoop
  • choose a highlights channel that people actually read, not one that is already ignored
